WSJ: U.S. Enlists Allies to Counter China’s Technology Push

WSJ article detailing the Biden administration’s plan to cobble together an alliance of countries to counter China’s emerging dominance in technology development. The proposed alliances would be able to share resources and technology and, just as important, to deny the Chinese access to research and findings that would enable them to pull ahead in the technology race. “We have a very strong interest in making sure that the techno-democracies come together more effectively so we are the ones who are doing the shaping of those norms and rules,” said U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken at his confirmation hearing.
