Nikkei: US and Japan plan ‘Belt and Road’ alternative for Indo-Pacific

The US and Japan are planning an alternative to ‘Belt and Road’ for the Indo-Pacific region. President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga are expected to sign an agreement increasing infrastructure cooperation in the region when the Japanese leader visits the White House on April 16.
