Times of India: China’s debt-trap diplomacy: Kenya offered ‘debt repayment holiday’ for 6 months worth $245 million

China has struck a six-month debt repayment holiday with Kenya worth $245 million. Kenya has struggled to make payments for major Belt and Road projects, such as the Standard Gauge Railway. Under the new deal, Kenya will have six years to complete payments after June 2021.
