The Guardian: US and China urged to find way to work together before Cop26

The former UN secretary-general Ban Ki-moon and other prominent global voices have urged the US president Joe Biden and the president of China, Xi Jinping, to meet before the UN Cop26 climate talks to search for common ground. Xi is unlikely to come to Glasgow for Cop26, or to the G20 leaders’ meeting in Rome, as he has not left China since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic.
