Straits Times: China in touch with ‘all parties’ in Myanmar, says embassy

On Friday, The Chinese Embassy in Yangon expressed that it was “in touch” with all parties in Myanmar. The statement comes after reports that Chinese diplomats met with representatives of Aung San Suu Kyi’s ousted government. China explained that it hoped to play a “role of promoting peace and discussion” in Myanmar.
