SCMP: ByteDance looks to list Douyin in New York, seizing on new mood in Biden administration and strong demand for China tech stocks

ByteDance seeks to list Douyin in the New York Stock Exchange, a sign of increased confidence under the Biden administration. If listed, Douyin would be the first initial public offering by a Chinese social media company in the United States. Douyin, the Chinese relative of TikTok, recorded 600 million users in August 2020.
