Reuters: Sweden Halts 5G Auction After Court Grants Relief to Huawei

After previously deciding to exclude Huawei from its 5G network for security reasons, Swedish telecom regulator PTS has paused spectrum auctions after a court ruled to suspend parts of its decision to exclude Huawei from Swedish 5G networks. The court ruling could allow Huawei to participate in building Sweden’s telecoms infrastructure once again. A Huawei official has said that he is waiting on dialogue with Swedish authorities, but that the company is “willing to cooperate fully in terms of any future requirements…that will enable us to be a certified vendor.”
