Reuters: Polish trial begins in Huawei-linked China espionage case

In Poland, the trial of a former Polish intelligence officer and a former Huawei employee is set to begin over espionage charges. Prosecutors have accused Wang Weijing, a Huawei executive, of spying to bolster the influence of Huawei in Poland with the assistance of a former Polish secret service agent. The trial comes as European countries consider whether or not to use Huawei’s 5G equipment over security concerns.
