In a sudden about-face The New York Stock Exchange announced Wednesday that it would delist three Chinese telecom companies (China Mobile Ltd, China Telecom Corp Ltd and China Unicom Hong Kong Ltd) that were included in a November Executive Order signed by Donald Trump. On Monday, the NYSE had announced that it would not delist the companies but that produced a prompt pushback from White House officials, including Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin. The NYSE said that trading in the companies’ securities will be suspended at 4 a.m. ET on Jan. 11.
