Reuters: China’s Huawei says Italy should not act on ‘baseless allegations’

Italy is reportedly considering barring Huawei from building the country’s 5G network over security concerns. Italy is the latest Western country to reconsider ties to the Chinese telecommunications company following a pressure campaign by the Trump administration to ditch the organization’s equipment due to fears of potential spying by Beijing.
