Reuters: China to require financial institutions to move towards green finance

Chinese Central Bank Governor Yi Gang noted to the Boao Forum that China will require financial institutions to move towards green financing soon to achieve its carbon emissions goals. In order to incentivize a green transition, the Central Bank will offer ratings for commercial banks and prudential assessments.
