Reuters: China to reinforce policy support for foreign trade, commerce minister says

China’s new commerce minister, Wang Wentao, spoke at a press conference Wednesday in which he said that China’s foreign trade outlook looked precarious given the continuing fall out from the Covid-19 pandemic and its effect on global supply chains. Nevertheless, he stressed that the CCP was undertaking certain policy steps to support China’s foreign trade and ensure the stability of its supply chains.
