China appears to have stamped out a two month spate in coronavirus cases, reporting no new locally transmitted cases of coronavirus in mainland China on Monday. Total number of cases rose slightly due to two new imported infections. News of a dramatically waning rate of infections comes at an auspicious time as China prepares for the lunar new year later this week, during which hundreds of millions of Chinese usually travel to see family and friends.
