Reuters: Brazil’s Bolsonaro to allow China’s Huawei in 5G auctions: newspaper

Although President Jair Bolsonaro has raised security concerns with Huawei in the past, Brazil’s government has green-lit the telecommunications equipment company to participate in 5G network auctions. China is one of Brazil’s largest trading partners, and Bolsonaro faced pressure from government and industry leaders to allow Huawei to compete in Brazil.
