Reuters: Brazilian telecoms snub U.S. official over Huawei 5G pressure – source

The leaders of Brazil’s top four telecom companies have decided not to meet with Keith Krach, the U.S. under secretary of state for economic growth. Krach has extensively advocated to exclude Huawei from countries’ 5G system, and Reuter’s sources stated that the invitation to speak with the under secretary was “not compatible with free-market choices we are used to.” The top four Brazilian telecom companies already use Huawei equipment, and do not support its exclusion from the market.
