Naval News: The maritime version of China’s CH-5 drone makes first test flight

China has recently completed the first test flight of its new maritime drone, the CH-5. Part of the CASC Rainbow (Cai Hong, abbreviated as CH) series of unmanned aerial vehicles, the CH-5 designed to cope with changing maritime conditions. It is a medium-to-high altitude long-endurance drone system. The test flight comes amid heightened tensions with the United States in the South China Sea.
