The Hong Kong government has disqualified another 16 district councilors, leaving about 60 pro-democracy councilors in office. The introduction of the oaths, and the ensuing rumors that salary and benefits will be recouped from councilors who faced disqualification, have already prompted over 260 individuals to resign ahead of the ceremonies.
