CNBC: The Chinese firm behind the acquisition of the UK’s largest chip plant is state backed, analysis shows

Chinese firm Wingtech has confirmed it wants to acquire the UK’s largest chip plant with backing from the Chinese government. Afterwards, Tsinghua Unigroup will establish a Linxens semiconductor factory this year after acquiring the firm for $2.6 billion in 2018.
