CNBC: China may test digital yuan with foreign visitors at Beijing Olympics

China’s central bank aims to test its newly-launched digital yuan on an international scale at the 2022 Beijing Olympics with foreign athletes and visitors. The digital yuan is the world’s first major digital currency. Officials in China have asserted that they do not intend to replace the dominance of the U.S. dollar, as speculators have pointed out.
