ChinaTalk: Just How Screwed is Huawei?

Although the U.S.’s campaign against Huawei has largely targeted the company’s overseas investments in 5G, export controls designed to impact the Chinese technology firm’s reliance on American IP have also affected its lucrative cell phone business. In China, where Huawei held 41 percent of the cell phone market in the first quarter of 2020, Huawei phones are going out of stock at official retailers as prices skyrocket among unlicensed sellers.
