Caixin: China Extends Tariff Exemptions for Some U.S. Imports

China’s Customs Tariffs Commission of the State Council announced that it would allow 79 goods from the United States to be exempt from tariffs until the end of the year. Beijing placed tariffs on U.S. goods in retaliation to the Trump administration’s levies on $200 billion worth of Chinese commodities. The Biden administration has eased some of the tariffs from the trade war.
