BBC: U.S. blacklists seven Chinese supercomputer groups

On Thursday, the Biden administration added three Chinese companies and four branches of China’s National Supercomputing Center to its blacklist. American companies are thus unable to export technology to the groups without government approval. The move emerged after the U.S. Department of Commerce claimed that the programs were used to develop weapons of mass destruction.
