Ofcom has fined China Global Television Network £200,000 for failing to comply with broadcasting rules, this comes six months after it had its UK broadcast license suspended by the media regulator. This is after an investigation found that CGNT was controlled by the Chinese Communist Party, which is not permitted under UK broadcasting law.
