A producer for Hong Kong public broadcaster RTHK was arrested today for reporting done on mob violence that took place in the city’s Yuen Long commuter train station in July 2019. RTHK’s documentary tracked the riot, involving hundreds of men in white shirts indiscriminately attacking commuters. The arrest has been widely considered to be the latest blow to press freedoms in Hong Kong.
