AP: Jack’s back: Chinese e-tycoon ends silence with online video

After two and a half months of silence from Chinese billionaire Jack Ma, the mogul released a 50-second video widely circulated online. In October 2020, Ma abruptly disappeared from the public eye after delivering a speech which opposed the Chinese Communist Party’s fiscal policies. Moreover, regulators delayed his company Ant Group’s highly-anticipated debut on the stock market.
