A group of French senators, led by senator Alain Richard, arrived in Taiwan for a five-day visit Wednesday. This comes after consecutive days of Chinese presence in the Taiwanese air defense identification zone. The group will meet with President Tsai Ing-wen, Taiwanese economic and health officials, and the Mainland Affairs Council, and Beijing warned the trip will hurt its ties with France.
