Major state media outlets in China have scrubbed references to Wilson Edwards, an alleged Swiss scientist, from their news articles after it was revealed that the expert is a fictitious character. The supposed biologist wrote a post in July on Facebook criticizing the United States’ position on the World Health Organization probe in China.
