ABC: A mega dam on the Great Bend of China

As China seeks to achieve carbon neutrality by 2060, it has announced plans to exploit the hydropower potential of the lower reaches of the Yarlung Tsangpo, potentially building a plant that could produce three times as much power as the Three Gorges Dam. But the location of the mega dam project is prone to landslides and earthquakes, as well as being dangerously close to the disputed border between India and China.
